Pump Assembly Technician Job Description

The Pump Assembly Technician plays a pivotal role in the construction of skid systems and baseplates.

  • Assist in the assembly of pumps, motors, and associated equipment
  • Trim impellers and perform basic turning jobs to ensure optimal performance
  • Paint pumps and motors to maintain appearance and functionality
  • Conduct electrical cabling tasks as required for efficient operation
  • Document test results for all assembled pumps to ensure quality control
  • Inspect, report, and repair returned pumps to extend their lifespan
  • Assist with mechanical issues to prevent downtime
  • Overhaul pumps to maintain peak performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade background in engines or other machinery
  • Trade certificate in machining or equivalent
  • Experience in assembly and equipment testing
  • Forklift certification beneficial but not necessary
  • Welding certification beneficial but not necessary
  • Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect qualifications assistance available if required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
