About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Trade Assistant to join our team at Alliance Airlines Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility. As a Trade Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our skilled tradespersons in maintaining and repairing aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespeople with daily tasks, providing necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Prepare work sites by gathering and arranging tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Clean and organize work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Handle, operate, and maintain various hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Assist with lifting, moving, and positioning materials and equipment.
  • Document work progress, report issues, and track maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Manual driver's license
  • Ability to hold Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Category 2 Authority to Drive Airside (ADA)
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to carry out tasks as instructed and show initiative
  • Ability to communicate and work with others
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team-focused environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to Alliance values – Safety & Performance
  • Pass background checks or medical screenings as required by us, Drug and Alcohol testing and police check clearance will be part of the recruitment process
  • Must be Covid vaccinated having received at least 2 doses
