Job Overview

The Identity Access Management Architect will collaborate with clients in designing and implementing IAM solutions across various industries to meet business and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include integrating security solutions for user identity management, access controls, and authentication across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The candidate will provide expert advice on IAM tools and technologies to protect sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing Security Controls: Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls for IAM across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients and stakeholders to design secure access control policies and overall security frameworks.
  • IAM Tools Utilization: Leverage IAM tools such as Microsoft Entra, Okta, SailPoint, and Ping Identity.
  • Cloud Compliance: Ensure cloud-based IAM solutions comply with data sovereignty requirements.
  • Security Assessments: Assist customers and vendors with security assessments, audits, and due diligence activities.
  • Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with security threats, technologies, and industry best practices, and translate that knowledge into improvements to the organization's security posture.
  • Security by Design: Contribute to the design and review of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to ensure security by design.
  • Technology Deployment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access controls, and encryption.
Requirements
  • Expertise in IAM Solutions: Possess expertise in IAM solutions such as Okta, SailPoint, Ping Identity, and Microsoft Identity.
  • Deep Understanding of IAM Protocols: Have a deep understanding of IAM protocols (SSO, MFA, RBAC, LDAP, SAML).
  • Australian Security Principles: Knowledge of Australian Security and Privacy Principles and data sovereignty.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Familiarity with GDPR and NIST SP 800-63.
  • Cloud IAM Experience: Strong knowledge of cloud IAM (AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM).
  • Integration Experience: Experience integrating IAM with cloud environments and enterprise applications.
Desirable Experience
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years designing and implementing IAM systems.
  • Australian Client Experience: At least 5 years working with Australian clients.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience building IAM architectures compliant with Australian security/privacy requirements and industry best practices.
  • Cloud Data Sovereignty: Experience with cloud-based identity management solutions aligned with Australian cloud data sovereignty requirements.
  • Large Enterprise Experience: Proven success delivering IAM solutions to large enterprise clients in regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, government).
  • Familiarity with Regulations: Familiarity with Australian Federal and State government regulations.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility: Australian citizen eligible to obtain AGSVA security clearance.
