Trade Your Way to a Brighter Future

In this four-year Electrical Apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to become a trade qualified Electrician and earn your UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

About the Role

You will learn the ins and outs of installing, servicing, maintaining, repairing, isolating, testing and commissioning a wide variety of coal mining fixed infrastructure. This could include high voltage works, communications infrastructure, and back up electrical systems.

You will commence on a lifestyle roster in your first year - 35-hour week minimum. Our team is committed to providing a safe working environment and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, maintain, repair, isolate, test and commission electrical equipment and systems.
  • Work safely in a team environment and adhere to all relevant safety procedures.
  • Develop and maintain good communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
What We Are Looking For
  • A passion for the trade and a willingness to listen, learn and actively seek out new learning opportunities.
  • Ability to work well in a team and develop strong relationships with colleagues.
  • A strong focus on safety and a commitment to adhering to all relevant safety procedures.
  • Completion or near completion of an electrical pre-apprenticeship will be an advantage.
  • Possess a current Construction White Card.
  • Have the ability to pass a Medical (including Coal Board Medical), Drug and Alcohol test, and Police Check.
  • Reside in Nebo or the Bowen Basin area (drive in and drive out - no buses from Moranbah).
