We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for the processing of incoming patient specimens, including selection of appropriate tissue culture regimes, maintaining stocks and solutions, and monitoring and cleaning equipment to facilitate the efficient operation of the laboratory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and harvesting of bone marrow specimens
- Chromosome preparations
- G-banding
- CD138 enrichment of plasma cells
- DNA extraction
- Microarray technical tasks
As a Clinical Laboratory Professional, you will work closely with our team of scientists and clinicians to provide high-quality diagnostic services to patients.
