About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Clough Limited. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for pre-contract tenders and building estimates in the form of lump sum, budget estimates, and schedule of rates build-ups for a diverse portfolio of major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate pricing models from client or engineering-supplied data.
  • Utilize industry-based norms and published data to develop first-principle estimates.
  • Produce direct and indirect estimates, including allowances for risk and contingency.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and industry bodies to ensure the use of new materials, techniques, and methodologies to provide a cost-effective solution.
  • Work directly with the Project Development team to align the estimate and methodology.
  • Collaborate with the Planning team to align the estimate and schedule.
  • Participate in internal estimate reviews.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' minimum experience in an estimating role (either structural/mechanical/piping or electrical and instrumentation) within the construction/engineering industry.
  • Experience with heavy industrial, oil and gas, or mining projects.
  • Experience with database estimating packages.
  • Sound organization and time management skills, particularly working remotely as the role requires interaction with project development teams across Australia.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
