About This Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Information Systems Technicians to join our team and contribute to the deployment of secure government systems in support of Defence.

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to shape the future of Defence Mission Planning and work on critical projects that make a difference.

  • Apply your skills in the development, integration, and deployment of security-accredited ICT systems.
  • Work closely with technical colleagues and Defence stakeholders to provide IT technical and administration support for Mission Planning Systems.
  • Sustain, secure, and evolve ICT systems across fixed and deployed environments.
  • Ensure mission systems meet the operational needs of users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting development, introduction to service, sustainment, and enhancement of mission planning software and hardware.
  • Maintenance and configuration of physical servers, networking hardware, and mission planning laptops.
  • Installing, configuring, testing, and deploying software.
  • Providing support on Defence strategic networks.
  • Assisting with security accreditation activities for Mission Planning Systems.
  • Identifying and managing technical risks, while contributing to program documentation and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Defence ICT environments.
  • Skills in MS Windows platforms (including imaging, security, and server environments).
  • Administration of client operating systems (Windows 10–11).
  • Software scripting, configuration management, and Office applications.
  • Understanding of Defence ICT security accreditation requirements.

Desirable Skills:

  • Aviation Mission Planning systems and AC-C2CS environment.
  • Networking (Layer 2/3), Linux systems administration, SQL databases, VMware/Hyper-V, McAfee, and geospatial data.
  • Software testing, backup/recovery tools, and advanced Office applications.
