Aged Care Nurse Position

Job Description

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled aged care nurse to provide high-quality clinical care to our residents in a residential aged care home.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of nursing procedures, excellent coaching and training skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Responsibilities
  • Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures
  • Acting as Team Leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar
  • Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues
  • Strong coaching/training skills
  • Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Competent IT skills
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
