Preserve Queensland's iconic Great Barrier Reef as a key player in delivering science priorities under the Reef 2050 Water Quality Improvement Plan.

This role supports the implementation of programs that are crucial to improving water quality and safeguarding the Reef's ecosystem. Research and analysis of complex scientific issues, provision of technical advice for policy decisions, and collaboration with stakeholders, including Traditional Owners and industry, are essential responsibilities.

To excel in this position, you will need expertise in water quality, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. A dedicated professional who can provide operational support to ensure effective delivery of science initiatives is sought after.

This fixed-term temporary role involves researching, reviewing, and synthesizing complex scientific information to provide evidence-based advice for policy and decision-making. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with various stakeholders, such as research providers and government agencies, is also a critical aspect of this job.

The ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex scientific and technical issues effectively will be vital to your success in this role. By working together with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will contribute to the protection and sustainability of Queensland's iconic Great Barrier Reef.
