This role is focused on supporting the delivery of high-quality guardianship services to vulnerable individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing complex policies and guidelines, as well as a strong understanding of guardianship practice and advocacy.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the NSW Public Guardian Division and wider NSW Trustee and Guardian Divisions have access to up-to-date and relevant guardianship knowledge and information.
Main Responsibilities- Sector Knowledge: Stay informed about key issues across sectors impacting guardianship and its effect on individuals with challenged decision-making capacity.
- Advocacy Support: Assist the NSW Public Guardian's advocacy efforts for these individuals.
- Practice Improvement: Effectively consult with guardianship teams to review and improve guardianship practices, protocols, and policy.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in developing complex policies, guidelines, and other documents at an organisational level.
- Strong understanding of guardianship practice, advocacy, and other services accessed by vulnerable individuals.
- Sound strategic thinking capacity, management, and administrative skills.
- Proven ability to support the delivery of services in a complex customer environment.
