Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to spearhead project package delivery on a mining project.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing construction work packs, reviewing technical and quality documents, and participating in detailed work method statements.
  • Additionally, the role involves implementing initiatives to improve costs on work packages, coordinating procurement, and providing technical input into project schedules and stakeholder engagement.
  • The ideal candidate will also estimate variation works and additional scopes, contribute to project reporting and claims, and manage changes during project phases to maintain safety and objectives.
  • Finally, the Electrical Engineer will participate in risk assessments and manage execution risks, manage red-line drawings and MDR documentation, and configure and manage Completion Management Software (PIMS).


Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer with over 3 years' post-graduate experience in major project delivery. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, effective time management and prioritization skills, and a positive attitude.

  • A thorough understanding of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, electrical layouts, and shop drawings is essential.
  • The successful candidate should also have experience with PIMS setup and management or similar systems, as well as strong relationship-building skills at all levels.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail are necessary for this role.
  • A strong safety culture is paramount.
