Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planner with 8+ years' experience and a track record of SSD delivery to take on a challenging role within our Planning Team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of planning approvals of varying levels of complexity through effective project management skills
  • Deliver planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently drive business growth and deliver exceptional results
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors, leveraging expertise and collaboration
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal team members, driving client satisfaction and company growth
  • Work closely with the team lead to drive business expansion and strategy development
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and development
  • Liaise with clients, councils, consultants, and other government agencies to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Utilize expertise to work across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment, delivering value-added solutions
  • Drive business development and high-level client relationship management through proactive and consultative approaches

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering client outcomes, with a strong background in renewable energy sector desirable
  • Experience in preparing and delivering EIS for SSD and/or infrastructure applications, showcasing technical expertise
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex multidisciplinary projects, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction
  • A thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables, maintaining excellent client service and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for building strong relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
  • Proactive approach to implementing new ideas and strategies, driving business growth and innovation
