Team Leader for Road Adjustors

You will be a visible presence representing our claims experience for customers and promoting our brand on the road.

The role requires daily coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback to ensure claims are handled effectively and efficiently. You will work closely with other Team Leaders / Managers within the department to develop and provide guidance and career development for team members.

  • Manage a high performing team of Road Adjusters who handle Personal Lines & Commercial Property claims.
  • Adhere to Best Practice Guidelines, General Insurance Code of Practice & Claims Handling as a Financial Service.
  • Administration, supervision and responsibility for the claims team.
  • Supervise compliance with Best Practice, GICOP & CHAAFS and provide regular reporting to your Manager.
  • Be an escalation point for difficult or sensitive claims, handling internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to Stage One Internal Dispute Complaints and AFCA referrals.
  • Assist with allocation of new claims and authorizing payments where required.
  • Participate in audits, vendor review meetings and contribute to dissemination of information to key stakeholders.
  • Play a lead role in claims process evaluation and efficiencies.

You will travel interstate for claim escalations or presentations to the market and be required to have a degree of technical expertise as a referral point for the team.
