Job Title: Community Gardener

We are seeking a skilled gardener to join our team of dedicated professionals.

This role requires individuals with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and friendly nature.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in gardening services, empathy for older people and the ability to work independently.

Main Responsibilities:

• Performing general garden maintenance activities such as lawn mowing, pruning, planting and weeding.
• Providing high-quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes.
• Maintaining a flexible approach to build lasting relationships with clients, families and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Provision of reliable gardening services.
• Genuine commitment to supporting older people's independence.
• Organized and responsible approach to work.
• Empathy and respect for older people and their family/carers.
• Confidentiality requirements.
• Reliability, honesty and trustworthiness.
• Ability to complete documentation.
• Independence without close supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of aged care legislation.

To Be Considered:

• Able to undergo a police background check.
• Capable of completing a functional assessment.
• Possession of a current SA Drivers Licence.
