Job Title: Innovation Systems Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our National Security Solutions team as an Innovation Systems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge engineering and advanced technology solutions that have a profound impact on national security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and programmatic support to the government for all lab activities, ensuring effective collaboration and efficient project management.
  • Offer subject matter expertise to customer leadership on emerging technologies (including AI) and initiatives related to space systems capabilities, driving innovation and growth.
  • Advising customer and enterprise leadership on the efficacy of planned lab initiatives (cost, schedule, performance, risk, and opportunities), fostering strategic decision-making.
  • Advise customer leadership on operational efficiencies, including systematic and innovative allocation of limited resources, promoting optimal resource utilization.
  • Represent customer in evaluating impacts to site architecture driven by capability changes and customer decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Requirements:
  • TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph is mandatory for this position.
  • A Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) or a relevant field, coupled with nine years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in STEM or a relevant field, along with seven years of relevant experience.
  • At least seven years of hands-on systems engineering experience, including preparation of necessary system engineering artifacts, demonstrating expertise across the full systems engineering lifecycle and project management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile development, and AI; Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering and associated tools is essential for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IT and cybersecurity familiarity, including cloud operations, layered defense, and risk management, is desirable for this position.
  • Hands-on AI experience, especially model development using large data sets, is a valuable asset for the ideal candidate.
  • Active cyber certification at DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 (i.e., Security+ CE) is a preferred qualification.
