Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative automation solutions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative automation solutions, including concept design, detailed CAD models, and prototype build
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with the team
  • Develop 2D drawings for manufacture and ensure compliance with GD&T
  • Understand materials and manufacturing techniques, and apply this knowledge to design and development
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, industrial design, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in product design engineering, preferably in the machine, small appliance, or materials handling fields
  • Experience in designing automation products with electro-mechanical components, including motors, gears/pulleys, and sensors
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Attention to detail and excellent critical thinking, diagnosis, and problem-solving skills
