About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Operations Manager to join our team at AccountAbility. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for managing BAU and leading a team of 2, providing guidance to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly payroll operations, ensuring compliance with PAYG, superannuation, tax, and month-end reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations and support business growth.
  • Project manage process mapping, system implementation, and integration.
  • Report and analyze payroll data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage escalations and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with National Head of HR and CFO, being a key stakeholder in the Senior Leadership team.
  • Manage data migration and cleansing, potentially implementing a new payroll system within 2-3 years.
  • Foster a fun and passionate team environment aligned with company values.

Requirements

  • Payroll management experience and strong leadership skills, with ability to roll up sleeves and assist with BAU.
  • Experience in transformation, process improvements, and implementation projects.
  • Payroll accounting experience for month-end reporting and analysis.
  • Employment Hero is a nice-to-have but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full working rights as this is a permanent role.

Salary and Location

The estimated salary for this role is $130,000 - $140,000 + Super + Bonus, based on location in North Sydney NSW 2060.
