About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing and Commercial Analyst to join our team at Woolworths Supermarkets. As a key member of our Pricing & Customer Value team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting cost increase submissions from suppliers and identifying customer value insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Analysis and Insights: Deep dive into supplier cost increase submissions, meticulously analyzing data to uncover hidden opportunities for cost reduction, avoidance, and optimization.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a trusted business partner to category teams, providing expert guidance on pricing strategies, cost analysis, and value optimization.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Proactively frame business problems and gather relevant data from diverse sources, injecting analytical rigor and innovative thinking into the challenges faced by the category teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in commercial forums, contributing valuable insights and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Pricing, Finance, or Commercial roles, preferably in a fast-paced retail or FMCG environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at building and maintaining strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders across the business and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adept at transforming datasets into compelling narratives, crafting complex analyses that yield actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets (MS Excel) and Google Slides (MS PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data modeling, basic to intermediate SQL skills, familiarity with BigQuery and GCP.
