RMIT University's College of Vocational Education is seeking a skilled Vocational Education Teacher to deliver Electrical and Instrumentation programs at our City Campus. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is seeking a positive change and looking to enhance the student learning experience.
As a VE Teacher, you will be responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in Electrical & Instrumentation and Control courses in the School. You will also participate in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods, and methods of students' assessment.
You will interact with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching and administration staff. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities that ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
About YouTo be successful in this position, you'll have:
- Mandatory Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).
- Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE) desirable.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
- Ability to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence that meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
- Experience in the Electrical industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
- Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose, and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
