About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Specialist to join our team at NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD. As a key member of our Automation and Control Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering engineering excellence and driving innovation in our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members to ensure project requirements are consistently met.
  • Identify and meet the needs of internal and external customers, focusing on project outcomes.
  • Develop tenders and bids, and manage work to budgets.
  • Develop detailed engineering designs using appropriate methods, tools, processes, and software.
  • Ensure design work is completed in accordance with all applicable specifications, regulations, and standards.
  • Drive innovation through all parts of the design and implementation process.
  • Capable of detailed review and checking of others' work within own discipline.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in O&G, Mining & Minerals, and/or Infrastructure/Utilities.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering process control systems for mining, water, and gas infrastructure projects.
  • Degree-level qualifications in Electrical, Control Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Advanced SCADA design and implementation skills, particularly for GeoSCADA, Citect, FT View, OpenEnterprise, and others.
  • Exceptional design and implementation skills for capability with PLC and RTU platforms (i.e. Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Emerson).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, VB, and VBS preferred but not essential.
  • Application of industrial internet/Industry 4.0 to leverage the power of smart machines and real-time analytics.
