About the role
This Compliance Officer - Risk Management position plays a crucial role in supporting the wider Pitcher Partners firm across all risk, compliance and quality management functions. You will have a strong focus on the compliance functions of the firm's large investment advisory and custodian practice – Pitcher Partners Investment Services.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and monitoring the firm's compliance with its AFSL Obligations.
- Assisting with the administration of regulatory, industry and licensee portals and reporting, maintenance of internal registers.
- Conducting internal reviews including file, banking and advisory reviews of investment advisory files.
- Assisting with external independent audits.
- Developing and maintaining training plans for representatives and monitoring compliance against these plans.
- Interpreting laws and non-technical accounting standards that affect the firm and participating in the development of policies, procedures and training and the testing and monitoring of associated controls.
- Other general compliance and administrative functions such as preparing Board packs and taking minutes, identifying and interpreting legislative changes and advising advisers and staff on the application of various financial services laws.
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum
