We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as part of our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Admissions, Reception and Wards.
About the Role:
- Perform a broad range of administrative duties including managing a busy reception desk, answering and redirecting calls, and preparing admission paperwork.
- Organise appointments, conduct follow-up requests, and make reminder calls for visits.
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including preparation of medical records.
- Perform Health Fund Checks as required, manage the collection of excesses/co payments, and coordinate with staff from other departments.
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry to support nursing staff and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a busy reception area, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained at all times.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information to patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and efficient care delivery.
- Provide administrative support to nursing staff and management, including data entry and report generation.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and willingness to learn new software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early/late shifts and weekend work.

- A competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per annum, based on experience.
