Role Overview

Ozcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Care Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients, providing essential support and care in their own homes.

About the Role

This permanent part-time position involves supporting clients across Hervey Bay with their daily needs, including personal care, medication management, and encouraging independence. As a key member of our care team, you will work collaboratively to deliver holistic care that addresses every aspect of our clients' well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality care and support to clients in accordance with their personalized care plans.
  • Assisting clients to develop skills that promote independence and confidence.
  • Attending to clients' personal care needs, including showering, dressing, and other daily activities.
  • Supporting clients with medication requirements and ensuring timely administration.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A warm and caring nature, with a genuine interest in helping others live their best life.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Home & Community Care, or willingness to obtain.
  • A reliable roadworthy vehicle, with current registration and comprehensive insurance.
  • A current Queensland driver's licence.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
  • Proof of immunity or willingness to become vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chicken Pox), and Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
