Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Lane Cove Council. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals for children on a daily basis, ordering supplies, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, and liaising with staff, children, and parents.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III in Hospitality/Commercial Cookery or equivalent, a current 'Paid Worker - Working with Children Check' clearance (NSW), and experience in inventory management in a kitchen setting. You will also need to have knowledge of the use of cooking appliances, hygiene and safety precautions, and the ability to plan and prepare balanced nutritional meals, including meals appropriate to meet special dietary and cultural needs.
