AWS Data Centre Construction Project Manager
Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project manager to oversee the construction of our AWS data centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, quality results, and driving costs down while maintaining schedules.
- Project Management: Oversee construction related activities, manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Cost Management: Drive costs down while maintaining quality and schedules.
- Construction Management: Provide management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centres.
- Design Review: Review constructability of building designs associated with the construction of public domain works for the data centres.
- Project Scope: Create project scope and equipment requirements, assist with request for proposals, and capital requests.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure total project quality including commissioning and integrated system testing.
- Construction Administration: Issue and manage request for information processes during construction and coordinate with engineers.
- Metrics Reporting: Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years of work experience in design and construction management. Additionally, experience in infrastructure or public domain works and dealing with authorities and service providers is required.
