About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our theatre team at Brisbane Private Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a safe and efficient operating theatre environment
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Implementing evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional development
  • Providing education and training assistance to other staff members as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing highly desirable or working towards
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously
