Chief Mainframe Technologist

System professionals with expertise in mainframe technology are sought to drive innovation and ensure the stability of our essential platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain 24x7 operational and technical support for master console operations, problem ticket analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Conduct operational monitoring, alerting, and tuning to ensure system stability.
- Lead software maintenance (patching/upgrading) and apply SMP/E skills to provide innovative solutions for the z/OS environment.
- Maintain and optimize existing Mainframe Java applications, conduct testing, and provide end-user support for legacy systems, including system improvement and incident/problem resolution.
- Expertise in a z15 z/OS environment, specifically with:
- Operating System: z/OS
- DB/Languages: Adabas/Natural, JCL, Java (for Java specialists), SAS, REXX (for automation)
- Transaction Processors: TSO, NIM
- Middleware: MQ, Datastream, RPC, Corba
- Monitoring & Operations: XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL
- Scheduler/Batch: CA-11/Jobtrac
- Security: RACF, Natural security
- Source Code Management: N20
- Storage/Backup: Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management)
- Modern Practices: Ability to adapt to New Ways of Working (NWoW) techniques with Agile practices (JIRA, Confluence, Kanban, SPRINT, etc.)
