About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Pharmacology Trainee to join our multidisciplinary team at SA Health. As a Clinical Pharmacology Trainee, you will assume the supervised clinical management of patients under the direct care of the Clinical Pharmacology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume the supervised clinical management of patients under the direct care of the Clinical Pharmacology team.
  • Be a member of the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Consulting Service involved in the management of patients with multiple medical diseases.
  • Undertake assessment and treatment of patients, accepting clinical responsibility under gradually diminishing supervision.
  • Contribute to the management of patients and provide appropriate and timely emotional support to families of patients.
  • Be involved in a number of educational roles for medical students, pharmacists, and other clinical staff.
  • Contribute to medication governance, including the Central Adelaide Drug committee, the South Australian Formulary Committee, and the Investigational Drug Subcommittee.
  • Be involved in clinical research, as this is a fundamental part of Clinical Pharmacology.
