Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at IIQAF. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for cutting, fabricating, and installing wooden and other structures according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
  • Take precise measurements and calculate material quantities
  • Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials to specifications
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items
  • Layout floorings, roofings, or drywalls, ensuring they are level and compatible
  • Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items, and install them as designated
  • Inspect work sites and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter
  • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good understanding of basic math
  • Good physical condition and endurance
  • High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
