About the Role:
The Frontline Human Resources team is seeking an experienced and capable Group Venue Manager to join our clients team on a full-time basis in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the venue portfolio, analyzing upcoming events, and ensuring all necessary equipment and beverage requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the venue portfolio, including La Trobe University, The Centre Ivanhoe, Butler Lane, and Abbotsford Convent.
- Analyze upcoming events and order all necessary equipment and beverage requirements.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen, Sales, and Event Planning teams to ensure accurate orders and minimize wastage.
- Work closely with the group staffing coordinator to confirm staff requirements within budget.
- Lead and train the staffing team, mentor, and support the Function Managers.
- Support the kitchen team by providing all necessary event information on time.
- Engage with key venue stakeholders to develop and drive sales and event strategies.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including providing end-to-end service for internal events, rostering staff, receipting orders, and ensuring all Event Documentation is completed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in venue management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and software tools, including Microsoft Suite.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Working with Children's permit.
- Full working right to work in Australia.
