The 12-month program is designed to provide a comprehensive education and training experience, enabling successful applicants to transition into mental health practice.
Key highlights of the program include:
- Structured education program with individualized learning plans and weekly supervision via one-on-one and peer models
- Develop knowledge of current social work practices relevant to mental health and articulate theoretical basis for practice
- Provide social work services to individuals with mental health issues
To be eligible for this program, applicants must possess a Bachelor or Qualifying Master's degree (MSWq) in social work and be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Applicants should also demonstrate sound knowledge and interest in the provision of social work services to individuals with mental health issues.
What We OfferA protected workload, weekly supervision and regular educational opportunities will be provided to support participants in their transition to mental health practice.
Upon completion of the program, participants will have opportunities for ongoing employment within mental health services at Peninsula Health.
Additionally, we encourage applicants to discuss any adjustments or additional support required during the recruitment process.
