About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team, reporting to our Supply Chain & Procurement Manager. This role will be responsible for planning, managing, and controlling the purchase of goods and services to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to minimize costs and maximize value.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, manage stock movements, and optimize storage capacity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations to improve procurement processes.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Excel and Word, experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive employee assistance program.

The successful candidate will be based in Brisbane, Queensland, and will report to our Supply Chain & Procurement Manager.
