We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Customer & Employee Experience Technology team at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of key projects and leading the coordination of software and system changes for critical applications under the Customer & Employee Experience Technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Project Support: Provide project support to the delivery of implementation projects and system changes, applying best practice business analysis methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Requirements Elicitation: Elicit business and system requirements and liaise with technical delivery teams and vendors to deliver outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate stakeholder meetings to communicate updates and drive project outcomes.
- Solution Design: Analyze and design solutions, working with product owners and architecture teams to document solutions that meet business requirements.
- Change Management: Coordinate with technical delivery/development teams and vendors to manage software changes and releases.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Validate and test changes, working with users and testing teams to complete testing and support Testing and Quality Assurance through documentation of testable requirements.
- Implementation Planning: Plan and execute implementation/cutover activities.
- Risk Management: Evaluate planned system and software changes to minimize risk and operation issues, ensuring changes are documented according to IT Change Management processes.
- Process Documentation: Document existing and new processes as required, promoting standard operating procedures and updating the team's knowledge base and delivery templates.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience working in a business analyst role, with experience working on CBAP, Lean, Six Sigma, Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in business or Information Technology.
- Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong business acumen.
