Job Title: High Acuity Midwife/Nurse with Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife/Nurse to join our team at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg. As a High Acuity Midwife/Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to women with complex health issues and challenging pregnancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality client-focused care to patients, their family and carers, using a holistic approach
  • Nurse and Midwifery Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (essential)
  • At least two years' relevant experience as a Registered Midwife and Registered Nurse (essential)
  • Previous experience in acute general nursing (desirable)
  • Recent knowledge of all areas of midwifery practice and experience in working in Birthing Services, Emergency, Critical care and Gynaecological experience (desirable)
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications, critical care (desirable)
  • Neonatal resuscitation, adult resuscitation, competency in RANZCOG Fetal Surveillance Program or equivalent and completion of all other mandatory competencies upon commencement of employment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and be able to build good working relationships to foster a collaborative approach to care
  • Work all rotational shifts
