About the Role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Welding Inspector & Supervisor to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Asset Integrity and Reliability Services business, you will be responsible for ensuring that all QA/QC practices are implemented, delivered, and documented effectively onsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Compliance: Ensure that all QA/QC practices are implemented and documented effectively onsite.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control: Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, and supervise and lead inspection teams.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Oversee all QA/QC activities related to mechanical and fabrication remediation scopes, with a strong emphasis on compliance, impartiality, and independence.
  • Client Relations and QMS Development: Assist clients in building and enhancing Quality Management Systems (QMS), and develop and implement QMS.
  • Personnel and Equipment: Qualify trades personnel and equipment for project sites, and ensure that all actions and decisions uphold the highest standards of compliance, impartiality, and independence.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all documentation and reporting is accurate and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure that the QA/QC practices are effective and efficient.
Requirements
  • API510, API570, API653 certifications.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
  • Certified in relevant NDT techniques (ASNT Level II or III).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection, welding inspection, and NDT.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures, supervising and leading inspection teams, and qualifying trades personnel and equipment for project sites.
