Seeking a Veterinarian for Mixed Practice Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team in Charters Towers, North Queensland.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a mixed practice setting, with a caseload that includes beef cattle, equine reproduction, dentistry, and routine clinical work for pets and horses.

Our clinic has modern facilities and equipment, including an IDEXX in-house pathology lab, wireless DR x-ray, large and small animal ultrasound, and a mobile horse crush and dental kit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine and first-opinion small animal consultations, including vaccinations and health checks, skin conditions, lameness, ear and eye consultations, sick animals, tick paralysis, snake bites, and other emergency presentations.
  • Routine small animal surgery and procedures, including desexings, lump removals, dentistry, and wound treatments.
  • Ambulatory farm visits, including colic management, stitch-ups, ophthalmic conditions, vaccinations, dentistry, and other first-opinion visits.
