The Role: SMB Account Executive

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team in Melbourne. As an SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with small and medium-sized business owners, understanding their needs, and presenting tailored solutions to exceed their expectations.

Your primary goal will be to prospect and close deals with SMEs in Melbourne and Victoria, developing a deep understanding of their pain points and requirements. You'll work closely with our sales, marketing, customer success, product, and operations teams to relay customer feedback and drive business growth.

  • Prospect and engage with SMEs through door-to-door visits, cold calling, email outreach, referrals, and other methods.
  • Develop a deep understanding of SMEs' needs and formulate the right solution to meet their expectations.
  • Manage a lead and deal pipeline with attention to detail and excellent hygiene.
  • Own the full sales cycle, including planning, qualifying, due diligence, and closing new deals.
  • Translate complex merchant requirements into a clear and concise solution.
  • Delve into storytelling, case studies, pitch decks, and industry news to inspire SMEs about how Zeller can be their ideal business banking partner.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and SME-specific insights.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in BDR/SBDR or junior/SMB sales, with a proven ability to achieve quarterly goals.
  • A genuine curiosity and passion for people and business, enabling you to inspire and share their stories.
  • A strong commercial mindset and demonstrated ability to successfully manage and grow revenue.
  • Proven track record of exceeding individual targets/KPIS in a sales environment.
  • Experience with CRM tools, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
