Job Title: Marine Vessel Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Marine Vessel Engineer to join our team. As a Marine Vessel Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe mechanical operation of vessels.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Daily preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining vessel safety and security
  • Coordinating with shore support for servicing and repairs
  • Accurately maintaining logs and work orders
  • Liaising with the Master on vessel operations
  • Assisting with guest experience duties
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily engine and machinery checks
  • Assist with management and safe operations of the vessel
  • Diagnose system problems
  • Record all maintenance requirements
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs
  • Maintain accurate logs and work orders
  • Liaise with shore support for servicing and repairs
  • Secure vessels at marinas and island jetties
  • Participate in safety drill practices
Requirements:
  • Experienced Marine Engineer with MED 2 or MED 1 qualification
  • Good level of marine engine and system knowledge
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and introducing safety measures
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience working with high-speed vessels
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
