Join Our Fleet of MC Drivers

Hornby Transport Services is seeking experienced drivers to fill BDouble tipper interstate positions within the business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across Australia using sophisticated technology and modern fleet.

The ideal candidate will have an impeccable safety record, with at least 2 years driving heavy vehicles. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to safety in everything you do
  • Good understanding of load restraint
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and Road Transport Legislation
  • The ability to safely manage your fatigue
  • High-quality customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with or willingness to learn in-cab technology

In return, we offer attractive km rates, above award loading/unloading rates, and an average annual salary between $120k to $150k per annum. Our drivers are part of a collaborative and dynamic team that values safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Participating and committing to safety standards and COR requirements at all times
  2. Operating MC configurations to safely deliver various freight to customers in a timely manner
  3. Daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
  4. Complying with HTS Operations, Policies and Procedures
  5. Restraining loads using chains, ratchet chains, and straps (Flat Tops)
  6. Managing fatigue in line with relevant guidelines
