About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at a leading bus manufacturer located in Bundoora. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing mechanical assembly tasks, utilising their in-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and general mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing mechanical assembly tasks according to established guidelines and specifications.
  • Utilising knowledge of mechanical systems to ensure accurate and efficient assembly of buses.
  • Demonstrating general mechanical skills to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise.
  • Operating power tools, including hand tools and pneumatic tools, to complete assembly tasks effectively.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to meet production targets and deadlines.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Solid understanding and experience of mechanical assembly techniques and processes.
  • Strong experience and expertise in automotive mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using power tools, including hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • A solid work history demonstrating reliability and commitment.
  • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen and Criminal Check.
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude towards work and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
