Civil designers are critical to shaping the built environment, ensuring that structures and infrastructure meet safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards.

As a senior civil designer, you will oversee planning, developing, and quality-checking civil design work, producing 3D models, drawings, and documentation for projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with design and drafting using MicroStation and OpenRoads software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, developing, and reviewing design work within a small-size civil/structural design group on projects of medium size or assignments in support of business units.
  • Producing model, drawings (including drafting) and documentation in accordance with established design standards for civil works i.e. earthwork, road, and drainage structures.
  • Preparing or overseeing the preparation of civil design estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and goals, managing implementation and performance accordingly.

Apart from technical expertise, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to coordinate assigned civil design work with other project groups, facilitate technical discussions with third parties (clients, suppliers), and mentor civil designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.
