About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled Equity Trader to join our Equities and Multi-Asset division.
This role involves executing trades across global markets with a strong focus in Australia, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines, portfolio objectives, and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with portfolio managers to understand investment rationale, timing, sizing, and risk parameters of trades, as well as maintaining relationships with sell-side brokers, evaluating broker performance, and accessing liquidity intelligently.
Your responsibilities include monitoring real-time market activity, news flow, and special events or corporate actions that could impact positions or execution, leveraging electronic trading and algorithms to achieve best execution with minimal market impact.
You will conduct pre- and post-trade analysis, including transaction cost analysis and market impact assessments, ensuring internal controls are met.
About You:
For this position, we require 5+ years of equity trading experience, a deep understanding of equity market microstructure, trading venues, and execution algorithms, as well as experience with electronic trading systems and order management systems.
You must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
