Senior iOS Engineer

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned software engineer to join our product team. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will play a key role in further developing our native iOS apps.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced iOS developer who can contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our iOS applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of iOS app architectures, experience with GraphQL, and familiarity with component-based UI development such as SwiftUI.

They will also be responsible for feature development, code review, mentorship, collaboration, optimization, testing, and continuous learning.

  • Feature Development: Build out features on the app in partnership with your squad.
  • Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and sharing best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define product and technical roadmaps.
  • Optimization: Optimise application performance, reducing latency and ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Testing: Write and maintain unit and end-to-end tests to ensure app reliability and robustness.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in iOS development, particularly with millions of regular users. Experience in technical leadership roles, task breakdown, and mentoring junior engineers is essential.

A strong understanding of iOS app architectures, familiarity with SwiftUI, and experience with GraphQL are also necessary. Knowledge of Widgets and Watch apps is ideal, as is experience using CoreData or similar local data storage.

  • 4+ years experience as a professional software engineer.
  • Minimum 2 years Swift experience.
  • Strong understanding of iOS app architectures.
  • Familiarity with component-based UI development such as SwiftUI.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of Widgets and Watch apps (ideal).
  • Experience using CoreData or similar local data storage.
