Agricultural Soil Health Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a soil health framework for Australian agricultural production systems.
You will be part of a diverse research team working towards achieving this goal, leveraging your expertise in spatial approaches to solve challenges in measuring, valuing and reporting the status of Australia's soil resources.
Key duties include:
- Carry out innovative research investigations requiring originality and creativity.
- Conceptualise, design and test a novel framework for soil health assessments of Australian agricultural soil resources.
- Integrate several tiers of spatially explicit, and where applicable, temporal soil data into tools and metrics to support soil health benchmarking and thresholding.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in using pedometric tools to define Australian-specific soil health indicators and develop regionally and soil-specific quantitative soil health scoring and benchmarking methods.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team to achieve significant outcomes in the field of soil health.
