Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Asset Management team, you will be responsible for the management of fixed income ETFs and assisting the business to formulate product strategies in the space.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day activities of fixed income ETFs, ensuring they perform in line with their investment objectives and remain within mandates.
- Provide input to setup fixed income portfolio management and trading capabilities, including identifying and executing trades necessary for funds to meet their investment objectives.
- Monitor daily reconciliations between front office systems and official valuations, and continuously improve the operational efficiencies of the portfolio management and trading process.
- Assist with regular fund reporting requirements, including preparation of reports for management, rating agencies, and clients.
- Collaborate and coordinate efforts with portfolio administration, compliance, and other business functions to ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with SLAs and regulatory frameworks.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a strong background in finance and investment.
- A minimum of 5 years of previous investment experience in fixed income portfolio management and trading, with direct indexing/ETF experience an advantage.
- Excellent technical knowledge of financial products, strong analytical and numerical skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including VBA programming.
- Ability to make decisions, establish priorities, and act quickly in a high-pressure environment, with a strong risk management mindset.
- Familiarity with fixed income trading platforms, such as Bloomberg, MarketAxess, and TradeWeb.
