Legal Assistant Job Opportunity

Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual seeking a challenging role in a legal setting? We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to join our Class Actions team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our lawyers and clients, ensuring seamless workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Support lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements, as well as billing processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, and ensure timely follow-up actions.
  • Capture and share client-specific information, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members, fostering growth and development within the team.
  • Utilize matter management software (Aderant Expert) to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal support role.
  • Excellent typing skills (60wpm minimum) with high accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert or similar matter management systems is essential.
