Store Person Job Description

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team at the Gunning Wool Store in NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established, dynamic team and help us provide exceptional service to our customers.

About Us

Fox & Lillie is a 100% Australian family-owned and operated wool export, buying, and broking business with an extensive network of regional branches, international offices, and wool processing facilities.

The company operates two core businesses in wool: Fox & Lillie, the wool trading and export business, and Fox & Lillie Rural, the rural services business. Combined we employ over 120 people throughout the two businesses with over 15 regional wool stores located throughout NSW and Victoria.

About the Role

As a Store Person, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. This position offers real development opportunities for the right candidate who is eager to grow within our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the wool store.
  2. Help with wool receivals, testing, and shipping.
  3. Load and unload trucks (Forklift operation).
  4. Handle wool, including pressing.
  5. Assist with scheduling wool pickups.
  6. Perform on-farm pickups.
  7. Ongoing career development and mentoring for motivated individuals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will be:

  1. Experienced in a similar role or related field.
  2. Able to work unsupervised and show initiative.
  3. Computer and data entry skills.
  4. Highly motivated and self-driven.
  5. Holding a forklift certification.
  6. HR truck license would be advantageous.
  7. A great communicator with a desire to work in a team and build a long-term career.
