Our ideal candidate for the Landscape & Playspace Crew Leader role will have a strong background in horticulture, leadership skills, and experience working in a team environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a range of landscape assets using sound horticultural skills.
  • Operating and maintaining horticultural and landscape plant and equipment.
  • Overseeing playground maintenance and repairs.
  • Working collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining minor landscaping and restoration.
  • Reinstating naturestrips, installing timber fencing, and constructing unsealed paths.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Horticulture (Landscaping/Construction) or equivalent, with demonstrated experience.
  • Experience in a mix of hard and soft landscape maintenance and equipment operation.
  • A commitment to occupational health and safety, quality control, and environmental sustainability.
  • A current manual Victorian driver's license.
  • A Medium Rigid Truck license or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • A Skid steer loader license or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.
  • Traffic management accreditation and demonstrated experience.
  • Basic carpentry trade skills.
  • Understanding of safe playground facilities and relevant inspection training or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.
