We are seeking a skilled Sales Assistant to join our team at Haymes Paint in North Lakes. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, providing product solutions, and maintaining high visual merchandising standards.

This role involves working across a rotating roster in our 6-day week trading store (Monday - Saturday). You will have the opportunity to work with a range of customers, from trade professionals to retail clients, and provide personalized advice on paint products.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and product solutions to customers
  • Tint paint products to customer specifications
  • Maintain accurate inventory control, including goods receiving and stocktaking
  • Process transactions efficiently and effectively using our Point of Sale system
  • Develop strong relationships with repeat customers and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest colour forecasts and product releases
  • Contribute to the creation of visually appealing displays and store presentation
  • Adhere to safe work practices and contribute to a safe working environment
About You
  • A valid driver's license is required for local deliveries
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term relationships
  • You have previous experience working in a customer-facing role or in sales
  • You have experience handling stock and merchandise, including lifting heavy items (up to 15L cans of paint)
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • You can work independently and as part of a team
  • You have problem-solving skills and can think critically

Our estimated salary for this role is around $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
