Job Summary: The Equipment Maintenance Specialist performs routine maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities. This role involves inspecting equipment, identifying areas that require attention, and implementing proactive maintenance programs to prevent downtime.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs and recommend service and maintenance programs
  • Plan repair work blueprints or equipment manuals as needed
  • Perform general repairs that do not require specialized technicians
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Install new machines and relocate existing equipment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow instructions while working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking; must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
